Board of Trustees

Executive Secretary - Sharon/Jo —

Firstly, I would like to congratulate the students who have achieved such outstanding results in recent events. The way you have represented Queen’s High School has made us all proud!

The Board have had two meetings this year – one in January to discuss the schools Strategic Plan and our first official Board meeting in February where we re-elected Board positions, these can be found on the Queen's High School Website. Last year the Board of Trustees made the decision to use SchoolDocs as a way of managing all our policies and procedures, as a parent you can access all our policies and procedures and periodically throughout the year you may receive notifications asking for your feedback. If you do get asked it would be great if you could take a few minutes to give us your feedback as it all helps shape how we want to be as a school.

We also wanted to make you aware that the School has a trust called The Queen's Charitable Trust which was launched in 2000. The trust's purpose is to promote the education, learning and development of Queen's High School students by way of financial support. One way this happens is through the Year 9 Scholarship programme. These scholarships are awarded to a student for their contribution to any or all of academic, sporting, cultural and service activities. Any person can make a donation specifically to this trust, this can be done through the school, with the Board of Trustees having the final decision on any monies spent. If this is something you would like to do we would welcome any donation you would like to make.

With the Covid-19 situation evolving daily the Board is in close contact with the management of the school to ensure that we all make the right decisions for our staff, students and Whãnau.
