Do you have previously used, good quality curtains - or new and unused ones?

Lesley Signal-Cambridge —

The Queen’s High School Interact Club has previously collaborated with the curtain bank and we have decided we would love to help them again!

The Dunedin Curtain Bank up-cycles unwanted or unused curtains, lines them and distributes them to those in need. Curtains make a significant difference to the warmth of a home, with a third of all heat loss in an uninsulated home happening through windows.

The Curtain Bank staff have asked that we collect as many curtains as we can to donate to them in preparation for winter.

We would really appreciate it if you could help us by bringing in old or unused curtains to school for us to donate. They particularly need full length curtains (2 meters long). If you have bought fabric to make curtains, but not got around to it, we can also accept unmade curtains and curtain fabric. We cannot accept curtains that have mould or are badly stained, but we can dust off, clean and iron curtains if required.

Curtains can be dropped off to the school Student Office during office hours, from now until the 28th May. If you need the curtains to be collected. Please email the Teacher in Charge of Interact - Lesley Signal-Cambridge lesley@queens.school.nz, and we can arrange collection.

Thank you in advance from the students in the Interact Club.
