At the end of last term eight Queen’s athletes headed to Christchurch to compete in the South Island Athletics Championships. It was an awesome weekend and was great to see so many girls out on the track representing Queen’s.

The highlight of the competition was the Under 15 Relay team consisting of Malia Corson, Sarah Donaldson, Molly Goldsmith and Jorja Gibbons taking out first place in their age group! This is a massive achievement, well done girls!

The under 16 team (Chloe Gray, Neve Darlington, Zara Ward and Gracie Young) were also finalists in their age grade. Congratulations also to Jorja Gibbons who placed 2nd in all of her individual events.

A big thanks to everyone, students, athletes and whānau for helping Queen’s have such a successful athletics season!
