A massive congratulations to Serena Evile, Meleana Veikoso and Tiare Beale for receiving the Incentive Award last week by Pacific Trust Otago.

These girls received a monetary award and a certificate acknowledging academic achievement, school involvement and community work. This is the second year that the TOA Scholarships have been awarded. The TOA awards will likely be given out next year as well, with a possible top prize of $500. All Year 12 and Year 13 Pasifika students are invited to apply. They must be able to prove residency or citizenship of New Zealand. 

Pacific Incubate Programme- Entrepreneurship

The University of Otago has created the Pacific Incubate Programme- Entrepreneurship. This programme encourages Pasifika students in Year 9 and 10 to come up with innovative business ideas that would benefit their communities. Business School students are mentoring and teaching our students business skills and acumen. This programme runs monthly after school at the Otago University Business School.
