Students’ Success

Netball

Congratulations to three Queen’s High School students who were named in Te Waipounamu Māori Netball Teams. Kiana Tatana (Under 19), Molly Stumbles and Nadia Te Kanawa (Under 15) will represent their respective age group teams at the National Tournament in New Plymouth at Easter Weekend. Trials were conducted across Te Waipounamu in Whakatu, Otautahi, and Murihiku over Waitangi weekend. The standard of players was high, with the selectors stating they were excited to see the potential of all players who attended. We are also proud of Effie King who travelled to Murihiku to trial for the Under 15 Team. This age group had nearly 50 triallists, with many midcourt players in contention. Effie was unfortunate not to be selected.

Tennis

Molly Stumbles has also been selected to represent the Otago Under 14 Tennis Team at the upcoming Southern Junior Tennis Teams Event. Well done, Molly.
