It was great to see the many students and their whanau at parent interviews last night. I trust you had good learning conversations about where your daughter is at and the next steps needed for continued progress.

Last weekend, the Queen’s High School Formal was held at the Glenroy Auditorium and was a fantastic success. The auditorium was beautifully decorated in the theme of "Once upon a time" and we enjoyed a lovely dinner in between many photos and lots of dancing.  Thank you and well done to the Formal Committee, for making this such a memorable and fun occasion.

Thank you to everyone who made the Open Mornings and the Open Evening such a success. The feedback has been very positive with many of our visitors commenting on the real warmth and the genuine relationships between students and staff here at Queen’s. We know that achievement starts with girls being happy, engaged and challenged in their learning as well as feeling comfortable and valued at school. The manaakitanga which lies at the heart of our school is clearly evident.

The Subject Guide has been emailed as a link to senior students in 2020. It has all the information needed for your daughter to be able to select her subjects for next year.  Careers & Options Night, on Thursday 22 August, is an opportunity to hear ex-students talk about their career paths as well as ask questions of staff about the many subjects your daughter can choose.  I look forward to seeing you there.
