Board of Trustees

Executive Secretary - Sharon/Jo —

As you all know we are in the midst of the School Trustee’s Election process which means that this week’s Board meeting is the last meeting of the current Board of Trustee’s. All the members of the current Board were new when they started in their roles three years ago – which meant that we did have a steep learning curve of understanding how things worked. As a team we have all worked well together and I believe that we have achieved a lot in that time in terms of providing governance and guidance in the School. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the Board members for all their service over the last three years and in particular, Stuart Anderson and Tony Carline. The knowledge and skills that everyone brought to the table has been invaluable as we have managed many different projects.

Now that we are well into Term Two, the Board are starting to get good visibility on how the School is tracking in regard to the metrics that we use to measure if the school is achieving the goals as outlined in our Strategic Plan. In general we believe progress is being made in the right areas and where some more focus is needed, plans have been put in place to address those short-comings.

I am sure that having new faces on the Board after the election process is complete will introduce new ideas and ways of doing things that can only be of benefit to the School.

Can I also ask you to check the email regarding the partial strike action that has been signalled by the PPTA, to start next week. The “rostering home” of students does mean that we cannot provide instruction for the year level effected on each of the days. Please check the day that your daughter may be affected by this and contact the school office if you have any queries.

Jude Molyneux, Chairperson, Board of Trustees
