People Like Us

Caitlyn Petrie (Year 12) —

Last Thursday a group of curious students attended another one of the ‘people like us’ workshops at the Otago Museum.

This workshop was called ‘humans are weird’ and we were able to watch presentations from people who study things like neuroscience, environment, culture, forensic anthropology, nutrition and more, and how it all linked to how we are as people. This was a widely interesting and insightful workshop and only confused us more about career paths and our future as there are so many options! We are very lucky to have opportunities like these to chat to many experienced and intelligent scientists in Dunedin, and we recommend you to pick up an opportunity like this if you come across one. You never know what you’ll get out of it!
