The Junior A Volleyball team travelled to Christchurch last week to compete in the South Island Junior Volleyball Tournament.

 The team had qualified second in Otago which placed them in Division One of the tournament. They competed well in the round robin games and played some good volleyball. During the cross-over and finals games they had some very close matches especially against Lincoln High School and Waimea College B. They finished 12th out of the 32 teams and were the top placed Otago Team. The team stayed at the Christchurch Top 10 Holiday park and enjoyed mixing and mingling with the four other teams staying there. One of the highlights of the tournament was the social for all teams on the last night. Thanks so much to Terry Brewerton for coaching the team - their skills and game play have improved so much. Thank you to the parents that travelled to support the team - even from as far as Canada!! Special thanks to Noeline Burden and Karen Palmer who travelled with the team and to Debbie Nicolson for organising the team to get them to tournament. We are very excited for 2020 Volleyball.
