The Year 10, 11 and 12 Speaking Festival was held earlier this week. The Year 10 event, Mana Wāhine, was based around the theme of strong women.

There were three sections: Speech, Spoken Word and Poetry Out Loud. First place in the Speech competition was Annalise MacDonell. The winner of the Spoken Word section was Tallulah Costa and first place in the Poetry Out Loud category was Martha McAuley. The winner of the Year 11 Speech competition was Mikayla Preston and the winner of the Year 12 section was Daisy Kitto-Thomas. Thanks go to Mrs Montgomerie for adjudicating this wonderful event.
