As always, this newsletter is full of achievements by our amazing young women. My congratulations to them all.

In our final assembly of last term we said farewell to Ms Koni. She has started in her new role as Principal at Waitaki Girls’ High School and on Monday morning a group of staff and students travelled to Oamaru to handover Ms Koni to Waitaki Girls’.  The welcome shown to us by Waitaki Girls' was heartfelt and we look forward to continuing our relationship with their school and Ms Koni through our annual sports interchange.

The lip sync competition for Year 9 and 10 students was held on the last day of Term 3 and what a great afternoon of entertainment it was. Each form class performed to a mixture of songs with many students showing a different side to themselves on the stage. Congratulations to the overall winners 9BEC and 10SHR.

The Queen’s High School Formal for Year 12 and Year 13 students was held at the Glenroy Auditorium at the end of last term and was a fantastic success. The auditorium was beautifully decorated in the theme of Hollywood. Thank you and well done to the Formal Committee for making this such a memorable and fun occasion.

With only just over three weeks of classes remaining for all senior students, the focus is now on their external examinations. Many courses for 2021 are dependent on positive exam results and the key to gaining these results is being well prepared. You can click here to see external examination timetable from NZQA.

Next week is our Sports and Cultural Awards evening on Tuesday 20th at 6.30pm. All students and their whānau have been emailed if they are receiving an award. I look forward to celebrating with you all, the achievement of our amazing students.
