'My life with Cerebral Palsy' by Tayla Sloot

Taylor Sloot with Samara Kelly-Willcock —

Tayla Sloot, a student at Queen's from 2008 - 2013, returned to school this week to share with us the launch of her book 'My life with Cerebral Palsy'.

Tayla gave a short presentation to a group of Year 12 students about her life and what she is doing now.  She spoke of wanting to share her story so we all understand more about her life and what it means to have Cerebral Palsy.

Tayla talked about the goals she has achieved which, along with writing her book, include gaining work experience, being part of a drama production, being a radio presenter, going flatting and more.

Tayla impressed us all with what she has achieved, how she gives so many things a go and is always cheerful.  Her words from the end of the book are 'I think I have a pretty amazing life' and we can only agree.
