Emma Rose Hollander and team go to National Young Performer Awards.
On the 17th October, EmmaRose along side her other 10 team members from Mosgiel Meenan Dance Centre went up to Palmerston North to compete in the prestigious National Young Performer Awards.
The contemporary group “Survival” was the only
troupe nominated from Otago and Southland to compete against other troupes at a
national level. The girls range from age 10 to 19 and have spent countless
hours practising starting from late March when the dance was first created by studio
owner and choreographer Shannon Cunningham. Over the year they competed in local competitions across the South Island to prepare for the big
competition. They received 26th and were very pleased with this placing, they
aim to return there again next year.
