PSTA
The PTSA committee - December 10, 2024
Firstly I would like to thank all the parents who have paid the PSTA donation and supported our group, it has made such a difference!
It’s been a very exciting year for us and for those of you who don’t know what we do and who we are, allow us to fill you in. We provide additional financial support to the students of Queen's High School in a wide variety of areas by fundraising, supplying food for suppers and volunteering at events, just to name a few.
Some of this money has gone towards things like high spec computers for the Tech Rooms, library books, help with Library Week and the Reading Challenge, the Year 12 Rotary Youth Driver Awareness Day and a new school van. We have also provided an Open Night supper, Pathways Planning Evening supper and been present at a few other events that need us throughout the year.
As parents of students at the school, the PSTA provides a way we can be more involved in supporting the school and offering ideas to improve the experience for our girls. New members are always welcome, so please enquire at the school office if you would like to know more.
Queen's High School is in the Government Donation Scheme. This means that the school won’t be asking for donations directly from parents to help with curriculum subjects. However school camps and optional activities like sport, competitions and performances still need to be covered by the individual girls participating.
We at the PSTA are fully committed to helping where we can and with your continued support can do this. We have a PSTA donation which is $30 in Term 1 and $30 in Term 3. This is one way we can ensure our girls still have the support for those required extras to help them on their journey through high school.
Also, there will be a tasty fundraiser in Term 1, 2025, so watch this space.
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!
