The Showcase of Dance is always a great night for the Queen’s Dance community and this year was no exception. There were performances from dance students ranging from Year 9 to 13, showcasing the work they have put in throughout the year to achieve in performance and choreography standards, and competitions. He Waka Kōtuia opened the evening, followed by a wide range of acts including Aerobics, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Tap, Ballet and Pacific Island Dance. 

A fun and entertaining night was had by all, with spot prizes and a “Dance Off”. Thank you to Cai Heperi for being the MC, Wayne Alexander (FYI Media) for being videographer, Helen Lowther and Sam Montgomerie for organising front of house, and the Arts Council students for helping with sound, lighting, backstage and door sales, the Queen's office staff for organising ticket sales and Olivia Breese for designing the poster. Most importantly a big thank you to all the performers and the audience for your continued support of this annual event.
