Barbara Agnew —

Kia ora koutou. We are excited and ready to welcome back students and staff into school on Monday. I cannot wait.

Our last full day on site was eight weeks ago today.  It has been a challenging and interesting time for us all and I want to thank you for your work in supporting both your daughter and the school over this time.  For me, it has also been an opportunity to refocus on what is important both professionally and personally as well as take part in some daily exercise (well almost daily).

At Alert Level 2, school is safe for all students and staff.  As I outlined in my email earlier this week, we are prepared for school reopening. A big thank you to our fabulous support staff who have been working on site during Alert Level 3, getting school ready for Monday.

School will not be school as 'normal' though.  How students move around the school and enter classrooms is different.  We will take the time to explain the health and safety measures we have put in place to the girls first thing Monday morning.  I am asking that all students, for at least the next week, be off-site by 3.30pm.  This will allow for the cleaning of school to happen uninterrupted.  Co-curricular activities will start to begin in the following weeks.

If you have any questions about our health and safety plan, or have a family member who is, or might be, vulnerable to serious illness and you would like to discuss a plan for your daughter returning to school, please contact me. If your daughter is not returning to school on Monday for health and safety reasons I need you to contact me also.

In the meantime, I need all families to check that your contact details are correct and advise us of any changes. You can do this through the parent portal.

Your daughter will have received an update from her year level dean in regards to school opening on Monday.  Please ask her to check the year level classroom for this information.

As a staff, we are excited about school reopening on site and we look forward to welcoming our students back on Monday.
