Kia ora koutou

This week we held our first school sports exchange with Waitaki Girls’ High School. We were delighted to host the day at Queen's and I thank everyone who made the day a success. We look forward to this becoming a long-standing rivalry and next year we will travel to Waitaki Girls’ for this exchange.

Each student will be emailed their mid-year report next week. I ask you to take the time to read through this report with your daughter. Some possible discussions to have with her are:

· What has gone well over the first half of the year?

· What will you do to keep challenging yourself?

· Have you given your best and worked hard in each class?

· Do you need to make any changes next term for you to get the best results you can?

There is a parent teacher interview night on Thursday 8th August where you will have the opportunity to meet with your daughter’s individual teachers. Information on booking interview times will be included with the report.

Last night was the opening night for the combined Queen’s and King’s Musical and if you have not already purchased a ticket, I highly recommend you do so.  The talent on display was impressive.  It is a funny, engaging show with the cast showing excellent comic timing to deliver their lines.
