ANZAC Day at Tainui School

Stephanie Meronek —

Year 12 History Student Abby Cooper was invited for the second year to Tainui Primary School’s ANZAC assembly.

Abby wrote a stirring speech that acknowledged both the memories, and dangers of ANZAC soldiers during WW1. Abby was great with the young kids, and had them interacting and answering questions. Well done Abby, thank you for your words.

Queen’s ANZAC Assembly

In commemoration of ANZAC day, Year 11 History students Payge Rakete-Gray and Ruby Costa presented a well researched and thoughtful speech about what it means to remember the ANZACs. They discussed the sheer magnitude of the loss and devastation felt by all, but also about the resilience and importance of our memories.
