Bates Cricket Cup

Tom Clark —

Last Wednesday, the Queen's Cricket team played in the Bates Cup, a secondary schools knockout tournament played nationwide.

While the girls found the game against the more experienced Otago Girl's side difficult, they regrouped well and produced a fantastic performance against Maniototo, winning by 8 wickets. There were some stand out performances, particularly Elise Carline's contribution with both bat and ball. The girls now go on to compete in the secondary schools T20 league over the coming weeks.
