Career's Corner: Female Tradies

Lesley Signal-Cambridge —

There is currently a significant skills shortage in the trades sector of the New Zealand economy - including 56,000 construction tradies alone.

TEC tells us that recent research by the management consultancy firm Scarlatti showed that those who started out as apprentices, by the age of 28, had earned $165,000 more than learners with a law, medicine, or arts degree. University graduates also have an average student loan debt of $30,000.
