Netball

Our Junior A Netball Team competed admirably in the South Island Secondary School Tournament at Hagley Park in Christchurch during the first week of the school holidays. The team was unfortunate not to make the top 16 of 32 teams, after goal differential separated three teams in its pool, which had all had two wins from three games. The players put the disappointment behind them and continued to work hard. The team can be proud of its overall performance, winning five of its eight games, with the win against Marian College, which finished eighth, being a highlight.  A wonderful experience of ‘Tournament Life!’ Thank you to Lana Morrison (Coach), Ernie Mather (Umpire), and the staff who travelled with the team.

Rugby League Otago Representatives

Seven Queen’s students; Molly Goldsmith, Taylor Hood, Tracey Siggleko, Daisy Kahukura-Maihi, Rhianah Knopp Jenkinson, Jess Stumbles, and Ella Nesbit, were selected in the Otago Under 15 Rugby League Team to compete in a South Island Tournament in Invercargill during the school holidays. It was a great experience for the girls, who finished the tournament with a great win over Southland, after losing to them the day prior. Congratulations to Molly and Tracey who were both named in the Southern Zone 15s Squad to play Auckland in October.
