PEAK Athlete Development Programme Update

Term 3 has been a fun and busy term so far for the students selected for the Queen's PEAK programme this year.

Aside from the regular fitness and strength training sessions in the Queen's gym early on Wednesday mornings, the students have completed theory sessions in the classroom, learning about mindsets and goal setting and had the opportunity to whip up some delicious and nutritious meal ideas for one another in the food technology suite.  

Most recently PEAK students have heard from a visiting lecturer from the Institute of Sport, Exercise and Health about sports recovery massage and visited ABSolute Fitness for a workout and to trial some of the latest fitness equipment available.  On that note, we wish to say a huge thank you to Richard, Jake and the team for letting us visit their awesome gym. It was heaps of fun and a really worthwhile experience for the girls. 

Before we wrap up PEAK at the end of the term, students are looking forward to some water fitness at Moana Pool, more practical food sessions, shared breakfasts,  and of course the final fitness testing!
