Senior Academic Excellence

Queen's High School —

Last Friday Year 12, Year 13 and past students were awarded Blues for academic excellence in NCEA Level 1, 2 and 3.

Academic Excellence is a key focus for us and as a school, we must provide opportunities for every student to reach their academic excellence. Over this year we will celebrate and acknowledge the many and varied successes of both individuals and groups. To gain an Academic Blue, a student must achieve their NCEA Level, for that year, with an Excellence endorsement. That means they have received 50 credits or more at Excellence . Congratulations to all the students who received an Academic Blue for Excellence endorsement in 2019.

A special mention must go to Jessica Gill who was awarded a Physical Education Scholarship.  Scholarship candidates are expected to demonstrate high-level critical thinking, abstraction and generalisation, and to integrate, synthesise and apply knowledge, skills, understanding, and ideas to complex situations. This work is extra to the normal class work and requires a massive effort. well done Jess.
