Hip Hop Success

Nicole Rogers —

2022 is shaping up to be a very successful year for Hip Hop at Queen’s. All three crews recently competed in the Otago/Southland NZ Schools Hip Hop competition.

All crews competed strongly and represented their school with pride. In the High School Small Crew category “Audacity” coached and choreographed by Queen’s students Lucy Grant and Martha McAuley, placed 1st overall. “Royalty” coached and choreographed by Queen’s students Izzy Brown and Safera Wintrup, placed 2nd.

In the High School Mini Crew category “Custom Made” coached, choreographed, and performed by Lucy Grant and Martha McAuley, received 1st place, and the trophy for highest scoring high school crew.

All crews have qualified for Nationals in Wellington in September .

A big thank you to our coaches, parents and supporters who help the girls pursue their passion.

Keep dancing!
