Students’ Success
The school wishes to recognise the achievement of four of its 9A Netball Team players on their representative team honours. Congratulations to Renee Geddes, Molly Stumbles, and Nadia Te Kanawa, for being selected in the Dunedin Under 14A Representative Netball Team and to Maia Scott for making the Dunedin Under 14B Team. Well done girls.
Mereana Martin, Chelsea Winder, and Abby McBride competed in the South Island Secondary Schools Swimming Championships recently. Mereana placed first in the 50 metre freestyle and second in both her 50 and 100 metre backstroke events. She also managed two personal best (PB) times. Abby also achieved fantastic results, with three first placings in the 50 metre freestyle, 50 backstroke, and 100 freestyle; second in the 50 fly; and third in the 100 fly. Chelsea accomplished two PBs and a top seven finish in two of her races. Mighty effort girls.
Hockey
The 1st XI Hockey Team has had a great start to the season. We welcomed many new players this year and along with some experienced seniors, the team has a strong squad of 20 players. We are currently sitting in the top four of the division and hope to make the finals at the end of the season.
Zara Ward has been enjoying the representative hockey environment. The Otago Under 18 Girls’ Team, which she plays an active part in, has been playing in mini tournaments over the last couple of months. The team is preparing for the National event being held in Nelson during the school holidays. Good luck Zara.

Netball
The Junior A Netball Team is competing in the South Island Secondary Schools Junior Tournament at Hagley Park in Christchurch in early July. We wish them all the best.
Youth Day
Eight students attended a Youth Day at Berwick Lodge this week, facilitated by Sport Otago.
It was a great opportunity for the girls to join with students from other secondary schools to participate in challenges, share ideas, and focus on positive aspects of being young. The full day event consisted of multiple outdoor activities and workshops.
