Sport Leaders Breakfast

Billie Askerud, Alysia Sydney, Abby Newell, Jorja Gibbons, Yui Ishikawa, and Kaila Geeves recently attended a Sport Leaders Breakfast with Ms Stumbles at the Sargood Centre.

The students were fortunate to listen to an inspirational speech by Courtney Duncan, 3 x Women's Motocross World Champion. Courtney shared her journey and spoke about the importance of values and setting standards. Respect, discipline, accountability, work ethic, and teamwork formed the main basis of her speech. She expressed how paramount preparation is and how you have to “show up”, “apply yourself”,and “take opportunities”.

Volleyball
Senior volleyball has finished for the year, with the senior teams winning all four games on Monday. This weekend, the 9A and 10A Volleyball teams are playing in the Otago Junior Tournament being held at the Edgar Centre. Both teams have been training hard and are looking forward to competing against some opposition from outside Dunedin. Good luck to both teams.
