Ugly Shakespeare Perform for Year 9s
The Ugly Shakespeare company paid our Year 9s a visit with their comedic interpretation of the classic play, ‘Macbeth,’ last week.
Tik Tok dances, Scottish accents, water guns, monologues and Natasha Beddingfield hits all came together in The Scottish Play, brightening up a Friday morning for our girls. For some classes this was a welcome addition to their Macbeth studies and for others an enthusiastic introduction to the Shakespearean language.
Here’s what a few of our students had to say:
Dear The Ugly Shakespeare.
I really enjoyed your hard work into this play. It was funny, enjoyable, and you could follow the storyline of the play. I enjoyed this play very much and I’m very thankful for you using your time to come and perform at our school with your talent and your confidence which I’m sure will inspire some other pupils into drama.
Dear Ugly Shakespeare,
Thank you for coming and performing a more modern version of Macbeth, it was very entertaining to watch. I really enjoyed myself, and it seems like a very cool place to work. It looks like you would have fun all day long.
Dear Ugly Shakespeare,
Thank you for taking the time to come to our school and perform Macbeth for us. I love how you three actors can act so many characters. I also like how you are acting… about acting (if that makes any sense). I LOVE the accent, Kent Robinson!! Thank you guys so much.
