Midwinter Carnival Fun

Gracie Rackham (Year 9) —

On Saturday 26 June, myself and seven other Year 9 performers spent our evening at the Midwinter Carnival. The afternoon was spent getting ready with makeup and costumes, and then we performed in the parade, going around the Octagon. This year's theme was a Moonlit Garden, and the lights/costumes were stunning. There were different types of animals, creatures and insects, as well as gorgeously detailed flowers that opened and closed. Needless to say the night was fun filled with lots of laughs and smiles.

It's a great opportunity to make new friends, meet new people, perform and try something new if you’ve never done it before (it also gets you in Mrs Rogers good books ;).

I highly recommend this night to all Queen's girls for next year, because personally I had loads of fun and I'm sure you would too.
