Year 9 Camp

Tallulah Costa —

Recently all Year 9 classes went on an overnight camp to Berwick.

Over four days, from the 5th to the 8th of March, the Year 9 students of Queen’s High School travelled to the Sinclair Wetlands and Berwick Camp for our Year 9 Camp. Each  form class visited the famous Sinclair Wetlands where Glen showed us around the site. He educated us on the story of the Wetlands and showed us many species of native New Zealand plants and animals. We also had the chance to plant native trees and help support the environment.

At Berwick, we participated in countless activities encouraging teamwork and bonding, including the flying fox, a night line, and other active games. We were accompanied on our camp by some amazing staff and senior students who made the whole experience memorable. It was an amazing time to get closer to our friends and make new ones, and was enjoyed by all the Year 9’s.
