Lesley Signal-Cambridge —

Because we use it everyday, and there are SO MANY jobs that use maths!! Isn’t that great?

The New Zealand Curriculum document tells us that Maths is a subject that develops creativity, problem solving, critical, logical and strategic thinking skills. It goes on to remind us that when studying Mathematics we “learn to create models and predict outcomes, to conjecture, to justify and verify, and to seek patterns and generalisations.” In other words, we develop skills we can use every day.
