Josie Abbott and Tash Civil —

Football had expert advice at training from the professionals and Rugby is another sport to get underway.

Football-1st XI Training Session

With the impending Secondary School Football season in Term 3, we thought we would begin our training sessions with some expert advice from the professionals. We were lucky enough to have Tessa Nicol who is the Women's Development officer at Football South and Shane Carvell who runs the Fit4Football Programme for NZ Football. The girls' enjoyed having some new coaches and they showed how excited and enthusiastic they are for the season to commence. A friendly match against Otago Girls' High School to end the term will be a good test run before the season begins Week 1 of Term 3.

Thanks again to Tessa and Shane on behalf of the girls.

Rugby starts for the season

Rugby was another sport to get started recently. We have two teams this year a senior and a junior team. Numbers are up and students are keen to get out there. Unfortunately the seniors had a loss to start with but the juniors had their first win. Well done girls!
