This is the final newsletter for the year and it provides an opportunity to showcase the activities that the junior students have been involved in over the last few weeks.
Today, we celebrated the achievements of the Year 9 and 10 students at our Junior Prizegiving. It was wonderful to see so many girls gaining academic awards which are an acknowledgement of their hard work and ability.
Congratulations to the following major award winners:
Emily Hewson - Year 10 Top Scholar Award
Jemma Gray - Year 9 Top Scholar Award
Rosebud Oto - Junior Visual Arts Rising Star
Wairua Tairi Hema-Rees - He Honore Mō Ngā Teina Trophy
Stephanie Finau - The Pacific Island Contribution and Leadership Junior Trophy
Jorja Gibbons - Best All Round Junior Sportswoman
Abby Newell - The Amy Dunbar Trophy for Year 10 Service and Contribution
This final issue is being sent to all our Year 9 students for 2022. We welcome them to Queen’s and share with them some of the activities they have to look forward to, over the next few years. We formally welcome all new students and their whānau to Queen’s on Monday 31 January. We also hope new parents can join with us and the girls at the barbecue on Wednesday 1 February at 12.30pm.
I would like to thank you all, for your commitment to the students and their learning at Queen’s over 2021, and I look forward to new beginnings and continued success in 2022.
Information for the 2022 school year will be sent separately before Christmas.
Have a wonderful holiday period, keep safe and enjoy a happy Christmas with whānau and friends.
