Some of the junior French students enjoyed seeing Dilili à Paris as part of the French Film Festival on Saturday.

At the Alliance Française afterwards they showed their prowess with students from LPHS, Columba & Bayfield in a playdough competition making Parisian structures. To reinforce what they learnt in the movie about famous French characters and places, they enjoyed a game of Fishbowl. This movie is highly recommended. It is clever, a good story and the French is spoken slowly and clearly, with some repetition. It is showing again on Sunday 22nd at 10am. Another movie suitable for teenagers is Spread Your Wings, (Donne-moi les Ailes) based on a true story and this can be seen on Saturday 21st at 1pm.
