The Student Council raised funds from our latest mufti day to go towards families in need at Christmas time. Jude McCracken from Presbyterian Support came along to the school to say thanks to the girls for their support.

Term 4 week 5 was our Queen's Challenge Learning Support Camp. Students fundraised all year to go on a adventures journey and this year was a road trip to the beautiful Maniototo.

Biking, climbing, swimming, walking, puzzling, opp-shopping, history, visiting …

This year, Year 10 students have been doing a cross-curricular project based on the movie Hidden Figures. As a finale the girls had the opportunity to create their own rockets and blast them into the air using different types of boosters.

Our local camp this year had a focus on wellbeing, in particular the mind, body, and soul. This meant every day we had an activity that would challenge our students and tick off the three areas of wellbeing.

We had a great week of waves for the Year 10 surf camp. The swell and wind played its part giving us great waves to learn in everyday.

The Interact Club are working hard already to fundraise for Relay for Life 2020, which is being held in March.

In the famous words of Snoopy - ‘Never get tired of doing the little things for others. Sometimes those little things occupy the biggest part of their hearts.’

On the evening of Thursday 21st November Learning Support held their annual Leavers Graduation Ceremony for those students who were leaving school at the end of 2019.

Well done to our Water Polo team who won the B Grade Division of the Water Polo competition on Friday.

The Junior A Volleyball team travelled to Christchurch last week to compete in the South Island Junior Volleyball Tournament.

The Year 9 students had an awesome week last week taking part in a wide range of activities for the annual Year 9 activity week.

Education Perfect introduced a video competition for language students in Term 4.

Futsal finished on a high last week. Our two junior teams were fine representatives of the school and this was supported by referee comments afterwards.

The Year 9 and 10 Speech and Poetry Festival was held on Wednesday 13 November in the Information Centre.
