French

Last week Year 9 French invited Nichola Johnston from Alliance Française to come along and help them with their cultural project, based around crêpes. While we might associate crêpes with dessert, they used to be a savoury staple of families with little money. We got to sample some “crêpes de blé noir (savoury Buckwheat crêpes), and to make and eat some sweet crêpes with the most divine salted caramel sauce. Some other year levels were also lucky to sample the crêpes. Merci à tous.

Rhythmic Gymnastics Success

Last weekend Georgia Tomlinson competed at the Margaret Woolf Memorial Rhythmic Gymnastics Competition in Auckland, where her group came home with a bronze medal and they reached the qualification score for NZ Nationals.They are currently ranked 4th in the country for Group and will find out next week if they make the team to represent Otago at the New Zealand Nationals.
