Last Friday Year 12, Year 13 and past students were awarded Blues for academic excellence in NCEA Level 1, 2 and 3.

Hey, I'm Katie, your academic prefect for 2020. First of all I would like to congratulate everyone who received a blues award in assembly last week. These awards require a lot of hard work and I hope everyone keeps aiming to achieve high in the coming year. This is my Prefect speech from that assembly.

A fantastic day was had on Monday 10th February at the Caledonian. It was great to see all our students involved and having a good time. We have some awesome athletes and many events were very close.

Over the weekend of 15-16 February, Year 9 Students Sarah Donaldson and Jorja Gibbons participated in the Otago Athletics Championships.

Congratulations to the following girls for their success in the recent Otago Surfing Champs.

Last Wednesday, the Queen's Cricket team played in the Bates Cup, a secondary schools knockout tournament played nationwide.

The Queen's Water Polo team are looking great in their new suits.

For the first time in many years Queen’s had representatives in the Otago-Southland Secondary School triathlon championships.

Over the school holidays two Year 12 students attended the Outward Bound course. Read on to hear about their adventures.

Last week the Year 13 Biology class went on their first trip for the year to the Physiology Department at the University of Otago.

To mark the International Day of Girls and Women in Science, the Otago Museum hosted a Women in Science Expo. Year 12 students with an interest in STEM careers took the opportunity to attend.
