40 students from the school Interact Club and Year 13 took part in this year's Relay for Life event.

Last week the Year 11 Outdoor Education class went on a trip to try out their BMX and Trail Bike skills. The Year 12 Recreation and Foundation Studies class completed an Indoor Bowls unit.

On Thursday 21st March six students from Learning Support were involved in the Special Olympics Otago Secondary Schools Athletics Event 2019.

Queen’s had 19 students compete at the Otago Athletics Championships on Saturday 16 March at the Caledonian, Dunedin.

The Queen's Senior Volleyball tournament team had an amazing week at the Christchurch Satellite tournament playing schools from around the South Island. After tight pool play we missed out on our semi-finals by 1 point but we finished 3rd in our pool and 5th in our division! Not only did we bond with each other but we were also able to connect with other local schools. Everyone enjoyed their time and improved their skills! Thanks to Louise for coaching us.

For the last two months our junior students have been working on the ‘Are We There Yet?’ unit created by School Kit and the Auckland Museum, which celebrated the 125th anniversary of Women’s Suffrage in New Zealand.

Queen’s recently hosted the MOE’s Pacific Education Service.

All Year 9 students had the opportunity to visit the Toitū Museum, ‘150 Years of Suffrage Exhibition’ this week.
