Congratulations to all the recipients at the awards evening this week. It was great to be able to celebrate these achievements with friends and families again and to hear Nicole Bradley talk about her journey from Queen's to the Commonwealth Games. Here are just some of the winners from the night.

Last term the Hip Hop crews travelled to Wellington to compete in the New Zealand Schools Hip Hop Competition.

Senior NCEA external examinations are coming up. They run from the 7 November to 2 December. Information has been emailed to all senior students.

Last term Interact and the Enviro group went out to Berwick Youth Adventure Trust camp to plant native trees. Hopefully these will be enjoyed by future Queen's students who go out there on school camp every year.

During the holidays Sari Ayson, Tessa Gabbott, Rewa Morrison and Taya Morrison competed at the National Scholastics Surfing competition as part of the Otago Scholastic team. This is a week long competition which was held in Taranaki this year.

Nathan Wallis, New Zealand's favourite Neuroscience Educator is heading to Dunedin on 25 and 26 October to present to the public, not one but two presentations on brain development from childhood to adulthood.
