The Nest, +1 & Room 7:
We are so incredibly proud of our tamariki. They have all Stepped Up and are learning how to demonstrate our Queenspark - Te Hua Mānuka 3Rs (Respect, Responsible & Resolute).
There are many highlights! Swimming, Cross Country, Gymnastics, Athletics, Wheels Day, Discovery, Play Based Learning, House Assemblies, Poppy the Pony, Hato Hone St Johns visit etc.
Year 2
My highlights this year are Minecraft and Willowbank.
In Minecraft, we got to build things like a floating island and a skyscraper.
I liked it when we could join because Cade made it that we could go through paintings in
my world. At Willowbank we saw Cabybaras and I patted an eel. We got to feed the farm animals. It was amazing.

My highlights of 2025 are swimming and bringing your pet to school. At swimming, we learnt how to signal helicopters to help us if we are in trouble. We also learnt how to get off boats safely. I loved it. At Bring Your Pet to School, we got to bring cats and dogs and they were very nice and fluffy. My favourite was Indie’s dog called Piper. Piper was very noisy but fluffy. I couldn’t bring my cat Gizmo to school because he is shy around other people but I made a video of him and showed my class on the school tv.
Tāhuna Sullivan - Lucy
My highlight of 2025 was when Kate the beekeeper came to talk to us about bees.
She has her own beehives in her backyard. She told us all about the jobs of the different bees in the hives. Then we got to role-play. I was the Guard bee who looked after the hive and the Queen. Jake was the Queen Bee and didn’t have to do anything. We got to touch a real honeycomb and then Kate gave us all some of the honey to try. It tasted very sweet and yummy. In the end we ran out of time. I wish she could have talked to us longer
Tāhuna Duncan - Thomas
My highlight of 2025 was learning all about animals. We did lots of different things. The Animal Dress Up Day was the best day ever. We all got to dress up as an animal and I dressed up as a dog. We had our photos taken and we did lots of fun things. I liked it when people got to bring their pets to school. The pets were all really well behaved. We also got to meet Poppy the pony. She came to school to learn to be around lots of children. She has a job at the hospital, cheering up children.

Year 3/4
The Year 3/4 team has successfully finished the year, much like a long-distance race, having given their absolute all right through to the end.
Highlights this term include: Junior Athletics Day, an exciting educational visit to Orana Park, and hands-on activities such as making ice cream, masks, and pizzas, alongside a range of fun activities planned, organised, and run by passionate tamariki during TEAM Time.
The last couple of weeks have also been filled with festive cheer as we celebrate the '12 Days of Christmas,' bringing fun and exciting events for all to enjoy, including our annual Epic Water Event! A significant effort was also put into practising our final assembly, which included learning some songs. A big thank you goes out to everyone who attended and supported the students' hard work. Here are some photos of our highlights.
Year 5/6
As the year draws to a close, we are incredibly proud of our Year 5/6 students! They finished the term with two unforgettable experiences that successfully fostered teamwork, resilience, and a whole lot of fun.
Camp: Pushing Boundaries
Our three-day Year 5/6 Camp was a resounding success! Students immersed themselves in a range of challenging activities, including high ziplines and rock climbing, pushing their comfort zones by racing around a go kart track, and shooting at targets. This was a wonderful opportunity for fostering independence and growing confidence. They managed their own gear and participated in the shared experience of sleeping in bunkrooms for two nights with their friends. The highlight for many was the sense of community developed by eating all together and enjoying trying new foods.
Indy A: "The air rifles were really fun!"
Emma H: "I really liked the trampolines."
Nate B: "I liked staying up late to play Spotlight."
Jelly Park: A Splash of Celebration:
The adventures continued with a fantastic day trip to Jelly Park. It was a high-energy opportunity to cool off and celebrate their hard work. There were smiles all around as the students spent the afternoon splashing around, demonstrating both great sportsmanship and fierce (but friendly!) competition during their hydroslide races. This trip was a perfect way to reinforce the bonds formed at camp and enjoy a well-deserved treat.
Leon C: "The hydroslides were really cool!"
Andrew A: "It was nice being able to jump off the ledge."
Noah B: "The pools were nice and cool for the hot day!"
