What has been happening and what is coming up:

Wow it's the end of Term 1 already!! What a great term! We are excited about what has been happening and what is still to come!  Make sure you check notices coming home, facebook, email, school website & the school app for all information about fundraising this year. We had a great sausage sizzle today - thanks for supporting this.

PTA Fun Run 2021:

Early next term we are running a sponsored Fun Run to raise funds to upgrade our year 2/3 reading resources and to further support extra-curricular sporting and cultural activities, including the purchase of musical instruments and Kapa Haka Uniforms.

Funds raised from our sponsored Fun Run will create additional opportunities for all students. Enabling our school to acquire additional resources will assist our whole school community. Fundraising also gives our students a sense of empowerment, they are able to work as a large team and contribute towards a common goal.

How will this fundraiser work?

This year we have partnered with New Zealand based, online fundraising company, Raise It. Raise It specialise in working with New Zealand schools to maximise their fundraising efforts. Collecting sponsorship online makes it super easy for everyone - no more door knocking, your child can collect more donations from further afield (friends and family living overseas, work colleagues etc) and no need to worry about handling all that cash and bringing it into school!

How do I sign my child up to fundraise online?

Each child can sign up for their very own web page to send out to collect online sponsorship.

Just go to our School Fundraising Hub page at: https://queenspark.raiseit.co.nz/hub

• You will find the REGISTER link to set up their account on this page
• You will need to choose your child’s classroom as their fundraising team
• If you need any help email help@raiseit.co.nz for direct assistance
• All student totals update in real time and your donors can leave you messages of encouragement
• The online Fundraising Hub website can be viewed to see the top classes and individuals at any time.
  
  

What do we do with cash donations?

If you do not wish to create an online fundraising page for your child, please see https://queenspark.raiseit.co.nz/faq for information on cash donation forms. We can collect offline donations and they can be included in class totals and individual leaderboards where applicable. Cash donation forms are available at the school office.

We are really excited about the numbers of People already registered for this amazing Fun Run! We are already over $2500 so keep on getting those sponsors in.

A few people have asked what the day actually entails, so here is a little breakdown:

We are putting mixed obstacles around the feild and the reserve. The children will be doing things like hopping through hoops, shooting netballs, going over and under obstacles etc. There is a dance station and even rolling down the hill is part of the circuit. The children are dressing up in their house colours and can just go crazy with it, as there are many spot prizes up for grabs on the day, from drink bottles to mini golf vouchers, caps and hand balls, plus more.

The Queenspark School community has a multitude of skills and services to offer and the Queenspark PTA are keen to put together a Parent Business Directory as a way for our families to support companies owned or managed by Queenspark Schools parents/ caregivers and the spouses of our staff members.
