A big THANK YOU goes out to Trees for Canterbury for donating 75 small trees to our school.

Queenspark has been donated a selection of native plants for around the school from Trees for Canterbury.

These are going to be a wonderful addition to Queenspark schools grounds encouraging biodiversity.

At the front of the school a selection of different Hebe varieties will be incorporated into garden beds, along with some grasses called Carex buchananii.

Other native shrubs and small trees like Horoeka/Lancewood will be used as fillers. Establishing more permanent evergreen planting in gardens around the New Building and water tanks at the back of the school.

Our school Green Team are now busy planting these trees which will be such an addition to our garden areas.
