Kia Ora Parents / Caregivers,

As we come up to the halfway mark in term 4 we reflect on a really busy but most productive time at our school.

As well as doing well in their learning spaces, our children have stepped up and represented our school in many different ways and have done us proud. Some include the following; Cultural Festival, Kapa Teams and Wearable Arts Teams, Kids 4 Kids music production, Rock Band competing at Band Quest, Jump Jam teams performing with success - a 1st place and 3rd place in the South Island competition and more. A special congratulations to Karen Pearce who has led our jump jam teams for many years of high placings and now has achieved the elusive 1st place this year! Well done!

We are mindful that as we progress through this term that some children are becoming tired and challenging. We ask that you are vigilant around bed times with strict boundaries around devices and social media platforms. We want our children to be ready and motivated for learning each day so that we can go right to the last day of the year with positive learning routines. We are asking that you as parents are proactive in the way you work and support us with this.

When children learn from home, it’s important to make sure they stay safe online. Here’s a simple, FREE way to block the worst of the web. Please monitor this and make sure your children are being safe when using and viewing sites on the internet.
