Dear Parent /Guardian,

Wow what a Term we have had!!

I'm so pleased we could hold our April Fools Mufti day!! It was great to see so many rising to the occasion! We want to thank Move X for donating the 4 vouchers we gave out and for the PTA supplying the lollies!

Thank you everyone that donated Easter themed things and Chocolates! The Raffle was a massive success again this year, congratulations to all the winners! We raised over $3000 which has gone straight to getting these basket ball hoops up at the front courts, we can't wait to finally see these up :)

We are super excited to launch the FUN RUN again this year! This one will be bigger and better than the last, with some amazing prizes up for grabs this year, from a smartwatch to a waterproof sports camera, we also have vouchers from fresh choice, move X the palms and many more! Plus don't forget our spot prizes! We want to thank all our sponsors so much!! We want to thank all the sponsors from the Fair that have decided to donate the money to the school still, so massive Thank you to Calibre for donating a massive $500 to go towards our schools Welfare fund, this fund is to help those kids that need a little more help with lunches, stationery, uniforms and in times like these it is an important fund to have, so we thank you so so much!! If anyone would ever like to donate to this fund, please don't hesitate to contact us at queensparkschoolpta@gmail.com and we will get on contact with you. Also a massive thank you to Avon Insurance who have donated $250 to add to a PTA event, we are so very grateful and the school plus the PTA very much appreciate the donation.

So moving on to Term 2.... we are excited to run the Fun Run, so rain or shine this will be going ahead!! WEEK 2 TERM 2 - see more details below.

We will also be doing our White Elephant Sale, so donations are still being accepted next term, these can be left by the container before 9am school days, until we have a set date for this sale, thank you everyone that has already donated we are very grateful.

Lastly, welcome Shontelle into our secretary role, it is big shoes to fill but we know you will be amazing!! We are still looking for a treasurer, so if you want to join an amazing team and think you would like to step into the treasurer role or just to join, we'd love to hear from you :) Our first meeting back is Monday May 9th 7pm in the multi room, so come along or send us an email on queensparkschoolpta@gmail.com, everyone welcome!

2022 Queenspark School Fun Run - Online Sponsored Fundraiser

Queenspark School PTA are running a sponsored Fun Run to raise funds for fantastic new playground equipment that includes several exciting new installations - a Waka, a Whare and a Pā as well as a new library stage… and our very own puppet theatre and even a rocket!

These incredible additions have been carefully designed to encourage our students to use their imaginations and explore their world through role play, as well as providing experience of traditional aspects of Aotearoa’s cultural heritage.

These enhancements to our outdoor play environment will support the health and well-being of every child.

How will this fundraiser work?

We have partnered with New Zealand based, online fundraising company, Raise It. Raise It specialise in working with New Zealand schools to maximise their fundraising efforts. Collecting sponsorship online makes it super easy for everyone - no more door knocking, your child can collect more donations from further afield (friends and family living overseas, work colleagues etc) and no need to worry about handling all that cash and bringing it into school!

How do I sign my child up to fundraise online?

Each child can sign up for their very own fundraising web page to send out to collect online sponsorship. Sponsorship can be collected from anyone, anywhere and sponsors can choose their own currency to donate in, if they wish.

· You will find the register/sign up link to set up their fundraising page

• You will need to choose your child’s class as their fundraising team and the enter your account/page details
• If you need any help email help@raiseitfundraising.com for direct assistance
• All student totals update in real time and your sponsors can leave you messages of encouragement

Do I have to sign up for an online account to fundraise?

We would love all fundraisers to have an online account as this allows the school to significantly reduce the administration overhead of collecting and dealing with cash and removes the need for students or parents to bring cash to the office. Raise It Fundraising adhere to strict cyber safe guidelines and this is built into our fundraising website. If you really do not want an online fundraising page, and still want to participate please check with the school office to see if you can collect cash and hand it in.

Prizes?

We are lucky enough to have some amazing sponsors this year, so we have some amazing prizes!! A Water proof sports camera and a Smart Watch are our Top prizes, then things like Palms vouchers, fresh choice vouchers, Move X vouchers and so much more !!!
