Some information from Miss Nichols in the Library
Kia ora, te whānau!
This term has been an exciting and diverse time in our wānanga.
Together, we have made the wānanga sparkle with hundreds of hand made stars, learned the meaning of the Matariki stars, their connections to our natural world and the story about the making of the kahui.
We have collaboratively made a manu taratahi using sustainable materials, as designed by some of the 4/5 team.
We have also taken the time to celebrate our third National language, Sign Language, and it has been a joy to see so many of our tamariki attempt and use sign language with their peers and staff.
A diverse selection of books continues to be added to our shelves, and we are very excited to extend our service to an additional digital format. Our digital library has expanded to include audiobooks, PDFs, and e-books. This service is free and can be used on any device with the free download app eplatform. More access details can be found on the poster below or by visiting our website.
As always, take care and please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
