Kia ora e te Whānau,

The rate of progress at the building site of Queenstown Primary School has been astonishing. We are quickly starting to realise the actual footprint of our new classroom spaces and this is very exciting. The piles have been stood up for the first four classroom teaching block. Delivery of these buildings is expected later this month. That is going to be an exciting time when trucks and cranes will be lifting the buildings into place. We are waiting on final confirmation of our proposed junior playground. We will share this when this has been approved, don’t worry I’m sure you are going to love it.

Another week has passed and we are rapidly approaching the middle of the term. Highlights this week have been the Intermediate Snow Sports, Mr Kortegast has been proud of the achievements of the students up the mountain. The Hot Chocolate fundraiser was a delicious treat for many and raised some much-needed funds for the Year 8 Camp. We loved seeing the snow at school on Wednesday and there were many disappointed students (and staff) that it didn't settle enough for us, lucky we have the mountains so close!

The excitement is really building now for the Polar Plunge next Friday, with people donating incredible amounts to see their favourite teachers take the plunge. We look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible.

Wishing you all a warm and safe weekend.

Kia ora

Matt
