Te Atamira Reflection - by Loic Grummitt

Newsletter Notice —

On Wednesday the Year Fives from Q.P.S took the public bus for the first ever time, so we got on the bus and went to Remarkables Park. On the bus, we got on for free and there was tons of room. When we got there we walked to Te Atamira and put our bags in a safe place.

Next, we went to watch a short movie about how the eels couldn’t get downstream to have eggs because the Clyde Dam was blocking the way downstream. It was a very amazing movie. The TVs were set up to look like the Clyde Dam and behind the screens, the cables were set out like a river.

After that we went outside with our bags and had a quick snack, next we got out our clipboards and filled out an art appreciation form on our favourite piece of art. It was part of a worldwide typography competition.

Finally, we went out to the playground to eat some food and had a play on the equipment. Eventually, we left the playground to go back to school. On the bus Lucas.B and I did lots of sketching.

I think that the trip was really fun and I would definitely do it again.
