QPS staff showing amazing commitment to fundraising!

The QPS PTA would like to extend a massive thank you to all the teachers, staff, parents, kids, and community members involved in helping make this year's first-ever QPS Polar Plunge such a great success! With your help, we were able to raise $7400 to put toward the new junior playground - an incredible result!

The event itself was so much fun with students of all ages, parents, grandparents, staff members and curious visitors all taking part in the fun - watching and encouraging our QPS teachers and supporters plunge into those cold, cold waters of Lake Whakatipu. At final tally, we had an amazing 14 teachers, one parent, and three supporting business employees take the plunge.

Thanks also to the dress-up teams who helped get our teachers and staff into the festive spirit! Emma Weinert, our librarian, took home the 'best dressed' prize. Those students who helped style Ms. Weinert's costume will enjoy some delicious Lewis Road Creamery ice cream as a treat in the week to come.
