We invite your best writing students to enter the 2025 Franklin Writers Competition. We’re looking for the best short story (up to 500 words) on the theme of Crossroads.

We have a special prize for the best young writer, and the opportunity to be published in our annual anthology, Easy Reads.

The closing date is 13th July 2025 (end of holidays) and it’s open to all NZ residents. Please see the attached poster for more details.
