2023 QPS Health Education Survey

The Education Act requires school boards to consult once every two years on the delivery of the health curriculum and to adopt a statement on the consultation process.
The NZ Health and Physical Education curriculum for Year 1-13 students consists of four strands as set out below.
Health Education units are covered within the Inquiry approach to learning and are focused on identified needs, curriculum coverage and local, national and global topics or issues. Strand-specific programmes, activities and events have annual or bi-annual coverage.
The four strands – Personal Health and Physical Development, Movement Concepts and Motor Skills, Relationships with Other People, and Healthy Communities and Environments.
