New Bee Card fare from 29 September

The free fare for children aged 5-12 years will end from 29 September and they will now pay $1.50. The fare for young people aged 13-18 years in Queenstown remains at $1.50, and the adult fare will increase from $2.00 to $2.50.  

All these fares need a registered Bee Card to take advantage of discounts. Cash fares remain unchanged at $4.00.

5-12 years 

  • Free fare for children aged 5–12 will end 

  • New fare with a Bee Card will be $1.50 

  • New Cash fare will be $4.00 

13-18 years 

  • Youth fare remains $1.50 

  • Cash fare remains $4.00

Adults (19+) 

  • New fare will be $2.50 with a Bee Card 

  • Cash fare remains $4.00 

ORC is updating fares to meet new central government funding rules. 

We invite you to pop into an ORC office or a Bee Card retailer to pick up a Bee Card before 29 September, or ask your bus driver for one – and remember to register it at www.beecard.co.nz
